Whatever you study in different economic courses
is about the management …or messing up of resources

Resources are scarce….this is a fact…that is sad
and if we don’t optimise….it is bad….it is bad !!!

So whatever you read in any blessed book of Economics
is to teach you these fundas…these very useful tricks

Demand curve is a straight line….you might laugh
but all you’ve got to learn…is to plot it on a graph

as when the demand goes up …prices shall rise
you buy more if things get cheaper….only if you are wise

marginal utility….a term that is so great…..
first chocolate tastes good…not so…if you have eight

Micro economics is about finding equilibriums
and Macro economics is about totals…about sums…

Micro-economists have assumed you are rational
and Macro economics is about incomes…that are national

So don’t fret…down frown…economics is fun
with a given limited resource, you can make butter or a gun

but sometimes life is strange …we do things that are eerie
and these are the times…real tests for these theories

each year someone gets a Nobel for economics
and a year might come when we have found all the tricks

Humans are needy…and greedy…they want more
and this is the reason… Eco theory … can never bore !!!

A thing about education one has to always remember
It is not to learn in Jan….and forget by December !

Education is not…should not…be linked with grades
it is time to be real…call spades as spades !

Learning as a process … may not end in ones life time
but what we are told is to cram up things in our prime

and then later on…reap the benefits of these degrees
ah! what a shame ! we succumb… but everyone
secretly disagrees ;

we all when we grow up recognise the faulty logic
of wasting our best years in merely learning the trick

of getting good grades….of mastering the rote
and not really learning…anything of note !

Then we all end up…shallow yet prosperous
and aha ! life becomes an ordeal for each one of us

What , if instead , we spend our young years
in knowing and growing… overcoming our hidden fears

what if , instead , we look at the schools
as great places to explore…not creatures of rules

what if , instead, we take joy in finding out
and shun these wretched feelings of fear and of doubt

What if , instead , we don’t study just for examination
we shall not only excel….yet live a life full of elation !!!
