I waited all summer, to eat the sweet fruit
And when rains came, they washed the very root
The fruit of summer, the nectar of sweat
Was bitter sweet, dry, and hard to get
Now the autumn has arrived, and we have new leaves
But the mood is like winters, is this what one achieves
I wonder what would happen when winter actually arrives
Trees would be lush green, but no blossom in our lives
When the spring breaks again and love is in the air
Trees would shed leaves, no spring this ; but despair !
Is this how I shall live the seasons of life
The summer of longing and rains full of strife
The autumn of hope
hanging by the winter’s rope
and spring that will hide behind the balding trees
a time of new happenings, but I shall find fallen leaves !
NOTE : ......poet normally refuses to take responsibility for these sentiments........although he cannot deny that these are his own !!!
